The new Troy Lee SE4 Factory Carbon Helmet is a premium entry in TLD’s off road helmet line, taking leading-edge safety features and blending them with the performance and style you expect from Troy Lee Designs. What differentiates the SE4 from other helmets is the MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) safety technology that is housed inside of a lightweight, 1325 gram (2.9 pds./1.3 kgs.) Carbon and Kevlar composite shell. While the MIPS technology helps deflect energy from rotational and angled impacts the composite shell will feel very light on your head and still provide an outstanding amount of strength. That means you’ll have less neck fatigue and more comfort while still gaining a healthy amount of injury prevention. To add even more features into the SE4, TLD includes a three-layer EPS liner that handles low, mid, and high speed impacts. This liner also helps keep fatigue at bay, eliminating pressure points and working with the 21 ventilation ports to keep your head comfortable in every important aspect. And like always TLD has you covered in the looks department with the Factory sporting a distinct style that pairs well with the graphics on many of Troy Lee’s unique gear sets. Pick one of three shell sizes for a precision fit that works for you and the Troy Lee SE4 Factory Carbon Helmet will stand out as an excellent choice when you’re looking for a premium off-road helmet. Specs: MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System), is a revolutionary technology that lets the helmet slide relative to the head, adding more protection against rotational violence to the brain caused by angled impacts. Ultra-lightweight, technologically advanced Carbon/Kevlar composite shell construction. Maximum EPS. Anatomical "3D" contoured cheek pads with emergency release system for EMS responders. Triple density EPS inserts with varying low and high speed impact-specific densities. Expanded polypropylene chin bar liner for multi-impact performance. Removable snap-in, washable comfort liner with CoolMax and Dri-Lex moisture wicking materials. Brow cover design channels air behind goggles directly to cool the forehead. 6 top intakes feed 10 internal ports for maximum cool air induction. Exhaust ports are fed by 9 internal passages to provide excellent dissipation of heat. Massive air flow ducts utilize negative pressure to draw hot air away from riders head and promote massive cooling, a significant advantage in warm riding conditions. Exceeds certifications for Snell and DOT. Helmet includes two matched visors, additional set of visor hardware and a plush TLD SE4 helmet bag. For proper fit and size, measure the circumference of your head 1" above your eyebrows around the largest portion of the back of your head. 22" - 22 3/4"…............. Medium 22 3/4" - 23 5/8"........... Large 23 5/8" - 24 1/2"........... X-Large 24 1/2" - 24 7/8"........... XX-Large MIPS MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) is a specialized helmet safety technology that is now being used in the top tier of off road helmets in order to greatly lessen the chances of traumatic brain injury. By integrating an engineered low-friction layer into the liner of the helmet, MIPS enables a relative sliding motion between the head and the helmet so angular and rotational impact forces are absorbed and deflected. Since most head impacts occur at oblique and unpredictable angles, helmets with MIPS Technology are able to offer better protection than helmets without.
